About Norsk språktest
Norsk språktest is a department of Studieforbundet Folkeuniversitetet. The department has an administration section, based at Folkeuniversitetet, and a section which is based at the Dept. of Scandinavian Languages and Literature at the University of Bergen. The latter produces the tests and processes the results. Norsk språktest is run on a non-profit basis.
Studieforbundet Folkeuniversitetet and the University of Bergen have been working together under the terms of a collaboration agreement since 1990. In spring, 2000, the two institutions decided to formalise their collaboration by creating a consortium called "Norwegian Language Testing Consortium".
Since autumn 2005 Norsk språktest offers three official examinations that test a range of communication skills:
Norskprøve 2 for voksne innvandrere (Level A2)
Norskprøve 3 for voksne innvandrere (Level B1)
Test i norsk - høyere nivå (Advanced Level)
